Larry and Pam have been involved with horses most of their lives. In 1976 the Spains opened a Hayride & Equestrian Center north of Chicago offering parties, hayrides and horseback rides. In addition, many off-property events were held such as parades, parties and sleigh rides.
  The Spains were honored when they provided a horse carriage to the production of The Music Man starring Dick VanDyke. For two weeks Larry led the horse and carriage with Mr. VanDyke aboard onto the stage.
  The Spains moved to Saint Cloud, Florida in 1989 and continued in the horse industry. They showed Appoloosa and Paint horses for many years. While Pam was showing, Larry was helping with schooling and preparing the horses for the show ring.
  In 2002 the Spains decided to get back into the horse drawn vehicle end of the equine business. The search for the two teams of horses took six months. They traveled to Mississippi and Massachusetts to purchasee what they felt were the two perfect teams. The black team (katie & Kelly) came from Mississippi and the gray team (Tom & Dan) from Masschusetts.
Both teams have been driven for many events and are very good in traffic. They always display their gentle giant traits of being safe and quiet. .
